Built in the late '60s and early '70s and former host of the Houston Open in 1973 & 1974, the La Quinta golf course at Quail Valley is a classic, tree-lined golf course. Designed to make the most of the warm, and occasionally rainy climate, this public golf course features elevated greens for a target-style golf experience. With generous fairways, targeting the right position off the tee is at a premium because hitting these greens requires smart play.

COURSE TOUR
Hole 1 Par 5

A par five that measures 500 yards from the tee to the green demands your tee shot to be up the left hand side. After you do that, some of the longer players can get here in two, but more importantly, lay up to a perfect yardage of about 100 yards to the green that is heavily surrounded by bunkers. Hit a couple of good shots here and a birdie is a possibility.
